Incompatible. best in cycling

This doesn't work with my co-pilot. This is too little. I don't know what to do because the original was stolen along with my bike. Tried two of these and none worked.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • old

Wee Ride Co-Pilot Hitch is exactly the same as the original

Maybe I just got lucky but I had no problem fitting the co-pilot to this hitch it's perfect - so I figured I'd go out and mention it to anyone who thinks about it and see feedback from others who are struggling. Nice that we now have one of these on each of our bikes!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • No gun

You could have spent a little more for the right screws.

Unfortunately, the screws came off very easily, so I can't even tighten them as tight as I should. Sometimes we have to adjust the clutch when my daughter's little bike twists from the rotation of the clutch. I can switch screws, but it's going to be really difficult to get this thing off, so let's take care of the occasional twist and keep moving for now.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Pin holes mismatch

Have two of these and none of them fit as well as the original hitch. The pin holes on these replacement parts do not line up exactly with the holes in the arm that connects to the copilot. The only way to make it work is to install it upside down on the seatpost. For now it works, but doesn't leave much space between the co-pilot's hand and the rear wheel of the trailing bike.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works when going straight but this thing fails when cornering

Bought a used Weeride Co-Pilot bike with no problems Not sure if it's the same original material but off Aluminum. Where it bolts to the seatpost it comes with a rubber grommet, but even when tightened I can tighten it until the bolt stops, but the co-pilot will overcome the mount and move from side to side. Surely if it had been a steel clutch things would have been different.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not the best

Can be retrofitted for older Pathfinder trailers

I have an old Pathfinder bike trailer with an almost identical hitch on my bike. My wife wanted a hitch on her bike so we could easily attach a trailer to any of our bikes. This hitch is nearly identical to the original lift hitch (which they haven't sold in at least a few years). By taking a hacksaw and removing 1/8 inch from the square end of this hitch (where it attaches to the trailer), the hole on this hitch can be aligned with the hole on the hitch allowing the bolt to work. For these I'm

Works (mostly) with cocking pointer

I bought this to connect a 2005 cocking pointer which I got for $3. As other reviews have pointed out, the 1" square connector is the right size for the tracker, but the stem is about 1/8" too long, so the pin hole doesn't fit. So you need to shave a bit at the end of the move. It's steel, so it's not going to be much fun with a hacksaw. I would recommend an angle grinder with a metal cutting disc. It took me about a minute to cut through and while it wasn't pretty, it worked. Otherwise, the…
