Good for soldering circuit boards

Much better than the thick tip that came with my iron. I've had this advice for a year now. I always clean after use and it's still in good condition.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Will be added later

Everything is fine except ONE NOTE

This tip is perfect for Weller soldering stations. However, my device has a magnetic on/off switch for heating, so this tip didn't work for me.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled

Order two to get one?

Two of these devices were purchased with the WESD51. One fits as expected, the second has a different tip size and shape. It's in Weller packaging and has the same part number, but it doesn't have a shoulder, the temp hole is much smaller, and it doesn't fit the PES51 iron.

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Accessories
Cons
  • No Power

The part was at a great price. The soldering iron is an expensive iron and without a replacement tip the iron was useless for my project. Exactly the part I needed, thanks!

Pros
  • Tools & Homeware
Cons
  • unreliable

I hope this review helps someone else know when it's time to change soldering tips. In short, this stitch works great in my Weller iron. The longer story is that I am relatively new to soldering and am certainly still learning. I've had the worst soldering times lately. I need to solder some wires to a connector but I'm having trouble melting the solder. Sometimes the solder took 30 seconds of heat to melt, sometimes it didn't melt at all. I've tried everything I can think of (which mostly…
