Affordable, works great and easy to learn.

I bought this soldering iron to install LED lighting under kitchen cabinets. I have never soldered and this Weller 25 watt iron was VERY EASY to learn. I pre-filled the tip so it will last a while. Luckily mine wasn't DOA as others have mentioned. It's really light and the LED lights are a great addition. The iron also heats up quickly. I used a tapered tip back then, but soon noticed that the solder wasn't sticking to it anymore. GENERAL! Upon further examining the tip, I found that the entire tip was now black. After that I tried to clean the tip with a brass brush but to no avail. So I blamed myself and switched to a small flat blade, this time taking very good care of my…
