I have number 2 for this model.

I'm in 2nd place for this model. I haven't opened or used it for the first 30 days so I'm not sure if it won't work like it used to (within 40 minutes) if I can send it back. but I hope so! I finally got to use it the other day and we hit the 40 minute mark, but as this is technically my 4th soldering iron I've received (the first 3 were defective) I won't breathe a sigh of relief. a while. First I went for the lower model, two returns later I ordered this one. This one failed and now I hope…

Stop looking - there's one for every stained glass project (and everything else for that matter).

If you're looking for the right soldering iron for your stained glass project, you might be wondering whether you should buy this 100-watt iron with the best vision, or one of the cheap ones at 1/3 the price. I struggled with this decision and chose this product. Wow! Anything else would be a mistake. This thing actually consists of two parts: a stand/controller and an 80 watt iron. Worst Design! c Soldering and Soldering Accessories

Most people are right handed and will place this station on the right side. So there are 2 cords coming out of this base, one on the left side with the cord going to the iron and interfering with your work and one on the back which is your base power supply and should be plugged into the wall. Well, this cord is so short it barely reaches the floor. So not much wiggle room unless you plug it into an extension cord. Dial-based 1-5, what is it? How hot? no idea, it's a guessing game.
