I have a ten year old dachshund and the moment I switched her to this food she was younger again. I noticed a surge of energy, happiness and her fur softened surprisingly. Diet is very important for older dogs and this has been a really good transition for my furry little one. I would recommend it to anyone looking for good food for their senior dog.

So I was asked to rate the taste. I can't do it since I don't eat dog food lol but I can say it helped my blue healer with that hot spot on his back. He loses all his hair every spring not this year and his hair looks very nice and thick and now he has a lot more energy. I think he was missing some vitamins. Oh, and did I mention he's 10 years old. I will not buy any other dog food again. I thought it would be expensive but it's not really because it works and helps him.

My girl is 11 years old, weighs 100 pounds in the left photo and 80 pounds in the right one. The food has really helped her. She is still very active and alert and her coat looks the best it has been in a long time. She hasn't had any major adjustment problems and has a sensitive stomach. We had to split the food for a week but after that it was great. It's been 7 months and she still loves it.

Bought this for my older dog who is looking to switch from core. Unfortunately I didn't do my homework and check their website which clearly states that this is not a grain free product. My dog really liked this food, but a few days after I introduced a small amount of her old food to her, she began to itch severely like many years before I switched her to a pay-for-grain wellness formula . Unless your older dog has a grit problem, this is probably a good choice. If so, I would look elsewhere.

My dog needed a low fat food for gastrointestinal issues. My sister researched this and while it looked nutritionally good, my dog says it tastes terrible and basically refuses to eat it. We got her on a half diet of rice/vegetables/organic chicken and this piece. If I give her just one bite, she refuses to eat. She likes to eat other foods except one. If I try to give her complete dog food (wag) she will starve for 5 days before I give up. So this food is better than Wag (Revain brand).
