Description of ๐Ÿ”Œ High-Quality 8 Gauge 41ft Red Power/Ground Wire: Genuine Spec and Soft Touch Cable for Car Amplifier, Automotive Trailer, and Harness Wiring

41 Feet:41FT RED 8 GAUGE POWER/GROUND WIRE - The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Thicker wire presents less resistance to current flow. COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM (CCA) - CCA wiring provides a good conductor for power transfer. This is the most economical option when choosing power or ground wire. Systems that require more power should consider OFC wiring. RUGGED PVC JACKET - Allows free, wide and seamless adjustment of the required physical properties of this wire such as flexibility, elasticity, and impact resistance. EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two color jacket allows for easy polarity identification. Making a polarity mistake could be damaging to your audio equipment. Perfect for Radio, Home Theatre, Automotive, Stereo, Robotics and R/C applications.

This wire is not 8 gauge as advertised!

This cable is not 8 gauge as described! It's 10 gauge wire with very thick insulation which makes the overall diameter look like it's 8 gauge.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Functionality

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent stuff. Looks smoky black

Excellent for vehicle interiors. I use mine to ground stereos. Best price I've found in a long time! The color is more black than brown.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great

12 gauge, not 10: power and ground wire

The wire is ideal for 12 gauge crimp wire. This is by no means a 10 gauge. Far from near. Luckily I didn't need a 10 gauge, a 12 would be fine for my needs, but if I upgrade I'll have to replace the power cord.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • There are errors

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lots of wires for the price but not 4 AWG

When I looked closely the wire wasn't a true 4 AWG, actually closer to 6 AWG, almost 8 AWG. The insulation is very thick, so for small current requirements like 50-80 amps for a car radio it's fine, but more isn't good.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

Excellent stuff. Appears smoke black in color

Ideal for car interiors. I use mine to ground stereos. Best price I've found in a long time! The color is more black than brown.

Pros
  • EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two tone case makes it easy to identify polarity. Reverse polarity can damage your audio device.
Cons
  • Very expensive

12 gauge, not 10

wire ideal for crimping 12 gauge wire. This is by no means a 10 gauge. Far from near. Luckily I didn't need a 10 gauge, a 12 would be fine for my needs, but if I upgrade I'll have to replace the power cord.

Pros
  • COPPER COVERED ALUMINUM (CCA) - CCA wiring provides a good conductor for power transmission. This is the most economical option when choosing a power or ground wire. For systems that require more power, oxygen-free copper cabling should be considered.
Cons
  • weak

Lots of wire for the price, but not 4 AWG

If I looked closely the wire didn't match 4 AWG, actually closer to 6 AWG, almost 8 AWG. The insulation is very thick, so for small amp requirements like 50-80 amps for a car stereo it's fine, but no more than that will suffice.

Pros
  • STRONG PVC SHIRT - Allows you to match the required physical properties of this wire, such as: B. Flexibility, elasticity and impact resistance, freely, comprehensively and smoothly adjust.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
