Works well for 1.5mm fiberglass sheet

I needed to trim the uneven edges of a 1.2mm to 1.5mm fiberglass sheet and this tool worked very good. Considering I had to cut several hundred feet of edges, handheld metal shears would have been far slower and less accurate, not to mention the potential for carpal tunnel syndrome. First I pressed a long metal ruler against the fiberglass. sheet and used it as a cutting guide, but later discovered that you could simply draw a straight line on a sheet of fiberglass with a black marker and cut…

  • Swivel head rotates 360 degrees to meet the needs of any project
Cons
  • Very expensive

perfect tool for sheet metal!

We built wheelchair accessible raised beds. The core team of the project were the "Women who build" from Habitat for Humanity. They were great builders, but I worried about cutting sheet metal in a crowded park with a spinning blade scattering tiny shards. I ordered it right away and it arrived the next day! Perfect. They were so happy with the results and ease of use that they asked where I got it from. I explained that if they were looking for a high performance device they would cost around…

Cuts like clockwork, smooth and made my first experience great. I

I used this to upgrade some of the parts I bought from Revain and was blown away. This is my first experience with this type of tool, but not my first experience with Wen Tools. I have a Wen drill press, a Wen grinder and now variable speed shears with a Wen swivel head. I don't have anything like it as this is my first experience with electric shears, but I can say I've been very happy with the performance and ease of use. It cut heavy powder-coated metal. I don't know how thick the metal was,

Pros
  • Lightweight design reduces work fatigue
Cons
  • Easily torn
