Aluminum Lightweight, sturdy, easy to use, Designed for quick field adjustments, sold as a Pair. 3 Rung Model Mounts on either side of extension ladder. Accepts Stages to 20 in width. Recommended for use with 300 pound Type IA and 375 pound Type IAA extension ladders. (OSHA and ANSI allow use with 250 pound Type I extension ladders. ). PLATFORM CLAMP SYSTEM Clamp secures platform to ladder jacks and ties supporting ladders together to help secure entire ladder jack system.

Great for boards up to 20 "

This jack works well with wider boards (I have 20"). You can maneuver both in front of and behind your stairs. Ladder lifters behind the ladder allow climbing and walking on the running board.

Good product but hardware inadequate

Works well so far, but it would be nice to have more adjustment positions for use in 'non-standard' situations, as in our case when working in the bush. We threw away most of the assembly hardware and used hardware store nuts and bolts since the nuts were "oval" for some reason. This caused them to act as locknuts and we stripped one bolt during assembly. In any case, I am satisfied with the best equipment. Overall a good product.

Much better than the old steel ladder jacks if you're old enough to remember them.

They are very impressive. Very durable and extremely light. Surprisingly light weight. No problem with the Werner folding ladder and the Keller extension ladder. The best part for me was being able to use two 2x10s side by side to run around. The clip that holds the aluminum bar is removable. Leaves 2x10 flat. Is there a screw that goes through the top crossbar, bushing? For lack of a better word. This will prevent the jack from lifting off the stairs. Surprisingly I couldn't use it on the…
