Westcott 8&#34 Review

These scissors are honestly one of the best pairs I've ever owned. I'm an interior designer and I regularly cut fabric, open boxes, cut wire/silk flowers and toothpicks, cut rug patterns, etc. These scissors work with almost anything I put them on, even cut 32 ounce rugs with ease. . These are heavy, well-made scissors that seem to last a long time and will need to be sharpened many times. Two downsides. First, they are heavy scissors, although I can get by with them, I see any person with weakened strength, arthritis, or other wrist, hand, or finger problems struggle with them. Second, the thumb and thumb holes are smaller. I have big hands for a woman so a lot of people will think they're just right, but to me they would be useless if they were smaller. Overall I'm happy…

I love them. Bought 2 pairs and no complaints, they are strong steel scissors as before that can be disassembled and sharpened. Good weight in hand but too heavy. The copper plating (I'm guessing the plating based on the price) has a clear finish so it won't fade or patinate. No more throwing away scissors.
