I already bought four of these discs, I use them for PS2 games. I ran a surface scan on all drives and found no errors. The ones I bought were released in 2012 and are the most reliable of these 7 year old drives. These are new, not refurbished. Get them while you can. It's getting harder and harder to find soft modded PS2 compatible hard drives.

These discs were produced in 2011. These are OEM wheels so they have ZERO warranty. All three drives I bought failed Western Digital's SMART test. I cannot use these discs. You are doomed to fail. I really can't believe this list got the Revain Choice Banner. They have a great price but they are not the same as in the listing. The information is wrong.

This is a good hard drive replacement option, really affordable and won't break the bank BUT it's OLD, the hard drives are really old technology and they're an era out of date, they're slow, and they fail easily. As a computer engineer I would recommend buying this hard drive if you are looking for a cheap and large storage drive but don't care about speed, if you want FAST I would recommend you go for SSDs.

If you don't expose your hard drive to large amounts of documents, videos, photos, or business applications, this WD drive costs about $25. is theft. Intended for general browsing, shopping, and home use, you're unlikely to fill up 500GB, even with a bloated Windows 10 OS. Less expensive to start with than SATA drives, and Western Digital generally makes reliable, long-lasting drives. Why pay for more disk space than the average user can use? This fits the bill.

Then I noticed that they had abbreviated the manufacture date of both hard drives I ordered. Thankfully, this is Amazon's staple, endless replacement. Arrived in great condition in manufacturer's OEM packaging. I installed it to replace an old 250GB drive on my Acer Veriton desktop. I wanted to use it as a Linux machine.
