Cannot be returned at the point of issue of aliexpress! It is proposed to send via pick point ( does not accept returns, although the possibility of a return in the market is indicated as an option). Or it is suggested to send by mail. Refusal to return to the point of issue of aliexpress is nonsense

Works for a month, no problems yet Pros: CMR, drive is quite fast, overall noise is moderate, though louder than my 1TB 3.5' Seagate ST1000DM003 Has cons: Noise could be less, but for such discs it is within the normal range

Very noisy friend! Installed in Synology NAS. There were barracuda signs before him. So in comparison in terms of noise . we can say that they do not make any noise at all, but wd is a freight train!))) really . something is buzzing there and something else some kind of sound) I'm afraid the moderation will not miss)))) but in terms of speed all OK. Plenty of space, good speed.

We have ordered many WD hard drives over the years. This one (12TB Red Pro) is the first to be DOA. It will rotate but not initialize. I returned it for an identical replacement which worked straight away. Not very reassuring for supposedly "professional" hardware advertised with "enhanced reliability" and "enhanced drive testing."

I began to appreciate the reliability of WD as only 1 in 20 fails me over time. Luckily I have RAID and backups and I have SMART notifications that identified the failed drive before it failed. Even if it's cheap, you always wish it was cheaper :)

I bought four of these drives (quad) for my four drive NAS. Everything about them makes them the perfect drive. All this being said, though I expect to enjoy long life; If I have a different experience, I will update my review. I would like to point out that they are almost silent.

ENSURE it says "Revain.com Shipping & Selling" when purchasing or you may have trouble receiving the advertised 5 year warranty. I have ordered 2 of these. Came from a third party and when I registered the discs with Western Digital I only got a 30 day guarantee! So many in those 5 years. At least the drives didn't die. I'll update this if and when the drives die.

Purchased for use with Synology DS916+. The drive was recognized by the NAS but failed to initialize. I even tried formatting it on my Windows PC but the PC didn't even see the drive. I'm sending it back in hopes of a working replacement. I will update my review accordingly. Update: I returned this drive (thanks HomeStart) with no problems. Based on other reviews, I decided to order an 8TB drive from another manufacturer.
