- I took it to a regular home computer and under the system and files. We needed volume and reliability. I really want to believe that it will work as long as the old Maxtor STM on 80Gb, which was replaced, only because of the volume (about 8-9 years). Having read about all sorts of high-frequency squeaks and vibrations in the Blue series (WD10EZEX), I was even more convinced that I would rather take the Red series. There is no drawback in the form of a speed of 5200 rpm. I never understood those who install an SSD, just to make the OS boot in a few seconds and write about it wherever possible.
