Good Controller - Accessory

Purchased 5. Plugged in and working very well. I wish it came in more colors than just white. I would recommend. The one I opened up and installed didn't have any screws to attach it. Maybe I left her.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Quality

Dangerous: do not buy!

Defective. Both switches produce sparks when turned on quickly. I checked the wiring and found that the sparking was occurring in the switch and not the wall box. I suspect Westinghouse didn't actually do those things.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Unreliable

Garbage. Probably not a brand. Shoot down.

Update. The light should be dim, but it's either fully on, slightly less than fully, or off. It works. but the fan switch is back and LOUD. 1 high, 2 low, 3 low, 4 hardly move. I've waited too long to come back otherwise we would definitely be sending them back.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Stopped working for me on day 7

I bought this for the fan and light in my bedroom and one of them stopped working on day 7. The light dimmer is not a full range dimmer. Difficult to darken up to 20-30%. Also the fan switch is in full mode at minimum setting and minimum at maximum setting. Full light is in the top position and the lowest fan speed is in the top position. The switch is difficult to move. It will be a nicer product when it works.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Weight

Does not work with remote fan controllers

Fan controller appears to be reversed. 1 below is the fastest speed, 4 above is the slowest speed. The 4th speed, the slowest, barely moves the fan blades, and the 4th variable speed isn't as useful as you might think. The knobs are convex and it would be better if they were concave to make it easier to move the fan switch up and down. Let's hope the fan switch softens over time, but the pressure of pressing it makes it difficult to get up to speed on the first try. I still wish there were…

  • Stylish and modern design

Very loud click when changing fan speed

The most annoying fan switch, especially if you have kids you don't want to wake up. The click this switch makes when changing the fan speed is STRONG. In addition, the speed information is counter-intuitive. The switch goes from OFF to 1,2,3,4. You might think that 1 would be the slowest and 4 would be the fastest. nope It's okay if the speed change wasn't that loud. Here's an example of why sudden gear changes suck: It's summer, it's hot, everyone's tired. Eventually put the kids to bed, but…
