Good product, good value for money

Very high quality and it has knockout configurations to fit very old boxes. I was able to replace the old boxes with these to fit modern fans and internals.

Pros
  • UL listed to support light fittings weighing 150 pounds or less, acceptable to support fan weighing 70 pounds or less
Cons
  • Not suitable for everyone

works great, arrived quickly

These pancake boxes are a commodity but since my hardware store doesn't have them I thought it would be a convenient way to have them shipped to my door . Glad all the screws were included. Lots of holes for rivets. A plastic cover held the devices together. The only downside is that plastic lids create waste. I wish there was a more sustainable way of packaging. The cardboard envelope does the same.

Pros
  • Fits all ceiling fans; 1/2" Deep 6 Cubic" Box
Cons
  • Mostly Good, But...

Good junction box for tight spaces

Ideal for use as a junction box in confined spaces. I was looking to replace the fluorescent ceiling light in my closet with a new LED light and found that there was no junction box above the light! Electrical wires ran through a 1 x 3 board and then through 1/2 inch ceiling plaster. I removed the 3" round patch of plaster around the wires and screwed this T pan onto the board. The wires at the top were connected to 3 wires for the LED light. The light was very light weight so it could be hung…

Pros
  • Support box allows a ceiling fan or light fixture to be securely installed; attaches to existing ceiling joist
Cons
  • Neutral
