Weights well eaten, plastic balance clamp broken

Plastic balance clamp is too thin and won't fit most fan blades. I tried on three different fans at home. The hole was too thin and when I tried to fit it it broke. It has no flexibility. Weights work well, but if you don't already have a balance clamp, it won't do you any good.

Pros
  • Plastic balance clamp makes it easier to find problem area
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Don't buy - find a rubber leveling tool

Idiots. The supplied fan blade tester is made of hard plastic. This would be fine as long as the hole at the end is just enough to slide over the edge of the fan blade. Not so. Try to spread it out so that it slips and breaks in half. I pulled a youtube video and the one in the video is rubber. Here's a great idea!

Pros
  • Helps reduce fan blade slap which can cause engine wear
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

As another reviewer said

As another reviewer said the clip does not have enough elasticity to open. I did this by taping the weight onto the fan blade in various places as indicated. Once it was balanced like this, I attached the weight to the detachable part of the stick. After that it worked fine. I would probably try to find a product that has a weight that can be adjusted for any fan blade thickness.

Pros
  • Includes easy to follow instructions
Cons
  • No

Works and is very easy to use!

Very easy to use! I managed to fix the clicking fan in our bedroom on my own without knowing how to do it before reading the instructions. I asked my husband if he could do it within a year and a half. And finally, I ordered this thing one night for a few bucks, and two days later it got to me. Simple instructions. Basically trial and error until you figure out where to put the weight on the blade to stop the clicking! I would say I fixed the fan to about 99% in just two attempts at different…

Pros
  • No more than one (1) per order
Cons
  • High price
