It's a good product at a reasonable price

It's a good product at a reasonable price. I found a cheaper one at Home Depot. But if you want to sit on the couch and shop, this is the place.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Works well, paint can be used

Works well, deep enough for my garden. My only complaint is that it would have been better if it had been painted a light color so people wouldn't miss and stumble across it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Commercially available

Not sufficient for learning and behavioral aids

I have bought several of these for my dogs and goats. I have small Nigerian pygmy goats and after one use they bend over. I definitely didn't expect that. It seemed they would survive. They are thick and heavy. Maybe I just have super strong goats.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No

Like all bets of this caliber, they are somewhat .

Like all bets in this caliber, they're a bit flimsy. But for what I use them for and the price, they're hard to beat. If you're in good, soft ground they go in with no problem, but if it's a bit dry or crappy ground I broke their knobs trying to screw them in.

Pros
  • The Best
Cons
  • Not All Fit

I ordered two and one broke immediately.

I ordered two and one broke as soon as I tried to stick it in the ground, the ground was pretty wet and it should have passed through with no problems. It wasn't strong enough to be stuck into the ground without breaking. I don't want my dogs to force a tie on him for him to pull on and break it himself.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are new competitors

If the ground is very hard, the corkscrew will bend when your dog .

A decent screed that does the job when screwed into the right soil. If the ground is too soft, it breaks right out of the ground. On very hard ground, the corkscrew will bend if your dog pulls the other end of the leash too often. I use them on my 50 lb dogs when we go camping and they are holding up really well.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack

Although it is a fairly inexpensive item

My 50 lb dog broke the stake just above the coiled up part in less than a day and he never spends more than 1-2 hours a day outside. While this is a fairly inexpensive item, this isn't a huge issue for me. My dog, being mostly indoors, roaming my neighborhood without understanding cars, or coming into contact with another dog can cause endless damage that cannot be measured in dollars. This item should not be priced or withdrawn from sale for small dogs. .

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Compatibility
