Although it opens and turns into a good sized brush, it requires a push to fold and when folded the hairbrush is not hidden so no mess in your purse is removed The handbag is not protected from the hairs in the brush, which get stuck on objects. Apart from the fact that it folds less than a normal brush, the folding function does not offer any other advantages. This brush is great but didn't quite live up to my expectations as I bought it to carry around in my purse. Overall, the brush itself is perfect; I've always liked wet brushing.
