7.0cm. Grade 4. Used in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials. Extremely fast filtering; provides excellent retention of coarse particles (20-25μm) and gelatinous precipitates such as ferric hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide. Used when high flow rates in air pollution monitoring are required and the collection of fine particles is not critical.

Make a great cold brew coffee filter with the right machine and vacuum pump.

They are very suitable for fine filtration and used for cold brew coffee. By the way, anyone who talks about buying low-ash filters for a lot of money usually has no idea what they are talking about. Low ash filters are used when analysis of the collected filtrate requires burning the sample to determine what you have collected. A low ash content does not mean that there is less ash in the filter to "contaminate” or otherwise affect the solution flowing through the filter, but that the fibers…
