Recommended Best Tire Repair Tool

I've been told that the electrochemical reaction with various metals can cause metal to corrode. I don't see any signs of it after a year. They work great on my SUV with deep hubcaps. Inflating tires with gloves is much easier, especially in winter. No more bleeding fingers from wrestling with the hose connector head. No more air leaks from bad connections.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Outdated

Good for bike rims.

I put some new wheels on my bike and needed to drill a hole so I could fit a Schrader nipple into the Presta hole. I was a little concerned about this, but after doing some research it's common for those of us in the US who can't buy Presta valve hoses in the store. I bought these because the nipple barely comes out of the rim. I fitted one of the front ones and it seems to be working fine.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Useless Features

Left me with tires and wheel tools

. One worked great, the other blew all the air out of my tire and took the tire right off the bead. What a PITA! I decided that leaving a working tire on another tire wouldn't be a good idea as it looked like it was probably only a matter of time before I got stuck with it. I do not recommend this product to anyone who wants to feel safe on a long journey, nor do I recommend this product to anyone.

Leak caused two flat tires :(

I was very disappointed with these extensions. The clamps (female end) seemed very loose at the connection to the extension body so I was a little apprehensive when fitting them I have carefully and firmly tightened them to the valve stems where I could not hear any air leaks. However, the next morning I went out and found two flat tires. I returned these extensions for a refund and would not buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Nothing here

I have purchased all three versions of the main wheel valve extensions for our Winnebago Class C. All 3 pose a safety hazard as they cause inaccurate pressure readings. If you tighten them tight you will see 0 psi and cannot add air. If you loosen a little, you can get accurate pressure readings, but the leakage will be slow. Don't waste your money, or if you still think you want them, send me $10 and I'll send you all 3 pairs!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Discontinued

They are shown with knurled threads that attach to the valve stem. When they arrived I was happy to see that they actually have a hex bolt that can be tightened with a wrench. I used to be the "finger tight" type and always felt like I wasn't tightening them tight enough - on the ones that arrived I could tighten them with a wrench and gently tighten them where I wanted. So far so good, they were installed within a couple of weeks with no sign of a leak. I haven't taken long trips with themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
