Quality construction but very, very small basket. Only one small object fits in each half.

I have spent a lot of time making sure this is the right product for my canning ring and lid cleaning needs. unfortunately there is not much product information about it. I took a chance and was surprised at how small this basket is. I understand it was designed to fit between the rails in a regular dishwasher, but even if it were 1" longer and 1/2" taller it would allow it to fit in my can lids without any Parts of it disrupt the dishwasher function. In fact, they could add a lot more length…

A good complement to the dishwasher

As is common in homes, the dishwasher is, shall we say, far from the best. Dishwashers used to come with one of these and I think if I were to buy my own dishwasher I would find that some of them still do. OK, stop whining. This basket is great for small items. It hooks onto the edge of the counter and the top snaps into place, keeping items inside when jets of water fall on them. I can now place the small, detachable pump parts from my pet's water bowl in this basket and let the dishwasher do…

Good for small things

FYI these numbers are stamped on this basket: 8519545IGD STN and 8562053 GRY ASM Why I wanted this dishwashing basket not to have the constant build up hand washes off lids and rings for wide mouth jars that I use for all sorts of storage. I was hoping the wide neck lids and rings would fit Ball jars, but even from the dimensions I can see they aren't. 9.6 x 3.7 x 2.7 inches. Handy little basket

As other reviewers said, it was a bit narrower than I expected. The internal measurements are approximately 3 inches deep (top to bottom) x 8 inches long (end to end) but as you can see in the photo the finials at the bottom are sloped inwards so the bottom length is closer to 6 inches. A sensible (to me) measurement is front to back - less than 2 inches. I have a whirlpool dishwasher. Neither this nor any other dishwasher I have ever owned requires such a strange shape.
