Fully enclosed large stainless steel sphere with gel inside. Put it in the freezer. Take out when you're cold and add to your drink to keep it cold without diluting your drink. Very easy to clean by hand in less than 30 seconds and then put back in the freezer. There is no dishwasher. It's like a giant stainless steel ball bearing. Will make a great gift!

These whiskey balls are pretty good for most drinks. A healthy batch of whiskey will typically chill within a few minutes and continue to chill as you sip. It still takes longer to cool down compared to regular ice cubes (surface I guess). The only problem is that they are quite big and if you are not careful they can fall in your face.
