I use it to heat water for coffee and oatmeal in the morning. The thermometer makes a reliable impression. The volume works for me but might be too small if you're brewing a whole cup of coffee.

This is a really nice teapot

I have been using this teapot for a long time. It is durable, high quality and made of thick stainless steel. Beautifully designed, with an ergonomic handle that allows you to control the process of pouring onto a piece of cake. Lots of kettle for the price.

My first comments were "Just OK - it's smaller and lower quality than I expected." Having used it for over a month I have to admit that this is actually a pretty good vessel. The perceived inferiority was due to the light weight, but everything stayed firmly in place and there were no leaks. I also found the thermometer extremely accurate for an analog device. Best in class at its price and better than many others at twice the price

I've tried several gooseneck boilers with a built in thermometer and this one is by far the best in its class for reasons that aren't immediately obvious.
