This router bit provides clean and precise cuts on all types of wood. The bit's durable and sharp edges can withstand heavy-duty use in an industrial workshop. Handy for creating grooves, dados, and rabbets. The only downside is that it may require frequent sharpening if used excessively. Overall, this is a reliable tool that delivers smooth results, making it an excellent investment for woodworkers in the Industrial and Scientific field.
Pros
Produces clean, straight cuts with minimal tear-out.
Cons
Somewhat expensive compared to other straight router bits on the market.
After trying different bits from different brands I mostly settled on Whiteside. They are consistently high quality, work very well, and are reasonably priced. I used a flattening bit on my CNC router and it works very well for the task.
Pros
Precision ground for the right balance at high RPM
I bought this cutter primarily for joining boxes made with a porter cord tool. Works better than the standard nozzle that came with the kit. Less tearing than a standard cutter and almost no burning on the inside of the joints. I have carved links for over 20 small boxes from a variety of native hardwoods and some exotic woods. There is still no noticeable loss of sharpness. Very happy with this lure and the rest of the Whiteside lures, they are the only brand I will be buying more.
