Unusable to use, bad product.

Don't expect anything special from a router. The download speed is much faster on my laptops (thinkpad yoga, y500). Where the laptop calmly pulls 5-7 meters, the adapter hardly gives out 1. For this money, it may not be particularly better to find, but still I advise you to look at something more expensive and faster. Disappointed.

The product is terrible, much below my expectations.

Constant slowdowns and freezes for 5-10 seconds. Buildingcompat-wireless (nowcompat-wireless is renamed and located here ) did not help. Frequent dmesgcomnnections/reconnects show "wlan2: deauthenticated from XXX (Reason: 2)". Tested on Debian Jessie. Iron itself can be sane, but firewood is acomllapse. If you plan to use the map in *nix, look for something else.

Pros
  • Missing
Cons
  • Unstable connection in linux

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible quality, disappointed with the purchase.

The Linux driver does not support device operation in AP-mode. On Windows, using the distributive ASUS utility, you can configure the device as an Access Point, but with the following limitations: - if the device is added to the bridge, the utility stops seeing the device and it stops working; - if you install a third-party firewall (for example, Kerio WinRoute), you need to disable the Windows Connection Sharing/Firewall Service. At the same time, the ASUS utility at startup not only tries…

Cons
  • The manufacturer-declared Access Point function does not work

I am very upset, the product is no good.

Threw it in the trash. He did not even give it to anyone so that others would not suffer. Terrible adapter. Constant disconnects. The speed drops frequently. You have to restart your computer to restore. None of the solutions even those recommended here help. I also noticed one terrible bug. Because of this adapter, the computer often starts to slow down every few seconds, it is easy to notice when listening to music or watching a movie. You have to completely turn off the wi fi network so that

Cons
  • Terribly expensive adapter considering how rubbish it is. It's better not to even think about buying this garbage.

Money down the drain, poor quality product.

It was needed to ensure a stable connection with the router. I didn't want to drop the wire. This adapter turned out to be extremely unstable - at the slightest hint of a good channel load (for example, when downloading something), it began to lose the network (or could not access the Internet for several minutes, or even lost all networks). It got to me and I dropped the cable. Then, when it was necessary to still use wi-fi, I turned it on again - it did not work for long - the network held…

Pros
  • Very convenient driver, 2 antennas catch a signal well
Cons
  • Extreme instability and unreliability

It was a reasonable purchase, will order more.

Bought without looking at the reviews. After 10 pm, there was often a drop in speed by several times with normal ping - I began to sin on the provider. I started to find out - on other devices the speed did not drop, I came here, read the reviews, got upset)). Today I went to the system unit and changed the angle of the antennas (the location of the system unit did not change) - the speed was instantly restored. I concluded that the sensitivity is weak, but the mood has risen)).

Pros
  • No driver issues.
Cons
  • Sensitivity.

An unattractive product, an unprofitable purchase.

This adapter was in a computer bought as a whole assembly. A few months ago, I noticed that often the audio becomes intermittent, periodic brakes for a split second. At first I didn't understand where it came from. Reinstalling Windows didn't help. Couldn't pinpoint/google the cause. And recently, I got a second Wi-Fi network, and I noticed that when I connect to one lag, there is, and when I connect to another, everything is fine. Here I already understood what words to google for, and found

Cons
  • Do not buy this device. Its driver causes micro-freezes in Windows 10 - as a result, it is impossible to listen to music.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

At first I lost the network - I rewrote the gateways and so on. Helped. Then he began to lose speed . And then dances with tambourines began, while they included attacks in the direction of the provider. And the chest opened simply - I went here and in one of the reviews (thank you kind person!) I read about the position of the antennas. They were pointed at the wall. I sent it to the router and lo and behold! everything worked. Even better than expected.

Pros
  • The speed is on top, I didn’t even know that I had such a)
Cons
  • VERY sensitive antennas

Nice price, good quality.

Try not to put too far from the WI-FI source. Sensitive to it. Demanding on the PCI-E interface, the standard of which must be at least 2.0. On two motherboards with PCI-E 1.0, it showed extremely unstable operation and periodically fell off. On the third motherboard with 2.0, it worked fine and without failures. It's been running for over a year now with no issues or problems. Drivers have always been used as fresh as possible from the office. ASUS website. In general, it does its job. You…

There are deviations, in general it is tolerable.

I want to immediately warn everyone who encounters the problem of the adapter not working in the Win-7 system. Check if the system service "WLAN AutoConfig Service" is disabled. For example, for some reason I have this service automatically disabled every time by a registry cleaner. The miserable proprietary utility from ASUS, which is not capable of correctly switching the adapter to the access point mode, can not be used, and in general for the adapter to work correctly, you just need to…

Pros
  • So far not revealed.
Cons
  • Wretched proprietary utility from ASUS. Weak antennas.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

I took it for home, to replace the whistle from the TP, because pulling a wire from the router is not a very good option in my case, it works in conjunction with the RT-N12 D1, when I bought it for testing, I took the antenna from the d-link for 8 dB, inserting it with the ones going into I was extremely saddened in the kit, it seemed worse than a whistle, I changed the antenna and the download speed on the same torrents rose from 700kbit / s to 3Mb / s, I bought a second antenna for 8dB, the…

Pros
  • Cheap and cheerful, works flawlessly!
Cons
  • It is problematic to find firewood from the disk, you need to install native antennas in the trash .

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. A very bad model, it can connect to networks that are not secure. It connects to secure networks without access to the network, either the speed is low, or it turns off after 5 minutes. I wore it to a service center, they started rubbing me there that I had problems with the router, although there were no problems on other devices. In the end, I advise you not to spend money on this model.

Pros
  • Not detected
Cons
  • Absolutely does not hold the network, the transfer rate is extremely low.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible quality, wasted money.

Before buying, I read the reviews - I did not believe that Asus could produce such adapters. And all the shamanism with drivers and antennas is a dead poultice. I suffered for 2 months, spat and bought a Wi-Fi receiver in usb. And about a miracle! Everything worked. Do not waste your nerves and money on this G from Asus. Who likes experiments - buy something else right away)

Pros
  • ASUS name. Two antennas
Cons
  • The signal level constantly floats, loses the network.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

Decided to move the router to another location. Accordingly, the cable would have to be pulled. But I decided to buy some kind of Wi-Fi adapter and connect my PC to a wireless network. The choice fell on this model. The connection went well. It was worth starting the PC, as my Windows 10 immediately suggested choosing any of the available networks. This is where the first problems started: after connecting to the network, the speed was quite good for the first minute, but then it dropped to…

Pros
  • Speed, two antennas, reception level.
Cons
  • Drivers, antennas, lack of 5 GHz support.
