High quality sound. i love color

This phone is designed to look like old phones in my house accent color. absolutely love it. The sound quality of a phone call is high compared to our modern mobile phones. It's nice to remember how clear the phone call sounded. The only thing I would change is the ringer volume. It's loud, which will be great when I'm outside, but when we're next to it inside, it's very loud even though it's set to the lowest level. (only two options, normal and high) Other than that, I am happy with the…

Great phone solid build no issues

I bought this phone because I was forced to get a landline again and I'll be damned if I don't make the phone as stylish and classy as possible . I picked this phone hoping the yellow was more mustard than light yellow and I'm happy to report that it was. A little trivial, but still. I hesitated, thinking the clear plastic around the number keys would be brittle, but no, the plastic is nice and tough and protects the numbers well. The phone is quite heavy, strong and feels durable. Hooked up…

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Long time

Nice phone. Works as it should. The yellow is darker and slightly mustard yellow than in the picture (probably just my computer monitor needs color calibration). My only complaint is that the ringer cannot be turned off or down and the ringer is quite loud. So I can't use it in the bedroom as planned. There is a receiver volume switch on the bottom - NORM & HIGH, which is useless as the caller is almost inaudible on the normal setting, but the HIGH setting is good and callers sound clear.

The phone didn't work properly - cute but needs to be returned

I love the look of this phone. This will go very well with the retro vibe of our house. The color is mustard yellow adding a touch of whimsicality. However, I also need this phone for work. The phone came in a Revain box with product instructions, not a product box. So, I think maybe they sent me someone else's damaged goods. The audio on the line keeps muting after about five minutes on the line. As this is new construction and a new phone line we bought a cheaper land line to see if it was a…

Phone disconnects during calls

I was so excited to get this phone in the mail and set it up. This is exactly the look I wanted and was happy with the purchase until I made the first call. The call ended and the recipient of the call could not hear me or me for several seconds. I thought it was a problem with the phone of the person I called, but it turns out the same thing happened on several subsequent calls. Because this phone is rarely used, the deduction took too long and now I cannot return the phone. I'd like to swap…

ring ring. . . Retro ringing

Fantastic phone, excellent quality for the price. The call is very retro, the sound quality and microphone are perfect. I work in a hotel and we thought it would be nice to buy some retro phones and put them in our public places, not suspecting that they would tell us how cute retro phones are. I read some reviews that were negative where people talked about sound quality or static sound even though it rang and made a noise when not in use. It's not a phone, it's your phone line, many phone…

Broken Box + Receiver Broken

Bought as a gift for my friend. I opened the Revain box and saw a huge broken box containing a rotary phone. It's hard to give someone a gift when the box looks like it's been driven to and from Beirut. I opened it and heard the phone ring. Unscrewing it, I see that the entire speaker part of the phone isn't attached properly, most likely because it either fell (damaging the box) or was thrown. In any event, the phone booth was virtually destroyed upon delivery, and whatever Revane had done to…

Love-hate relationship with this one

OK. After years of only using cell phones, we figured it would be fun to get a retro phone with a pop design when we go back to landlines. I loved the idea of this yellow phone - I like the company's other colors too, but that splash of yellow should have been like a lemon in the gray and teal spaces - it should have been good punctuation. And it was an old school phone that my kids/husband couldn't lose around the house like back when we had cordless phones. Pooh. 1) This is not the yellow…
