100-Pack Wilkinson Sword Classic Double Edge (DE) Razor Blades Review

I have been buying Merkur blades for many years but lately they have been hard to come by. So I read the reviews and bought these Wilkinson Sword Classic blades for my Merkur reversible safety razor. Compare Wilkinson with Mercury: These blades are very sharp! I found the Wilkinson blades to be slightly sharper than the Merkur blades. Very good close shave with about the same blade life. I'm new to wet shaving and use a DE safety razor, but these blades do a good job removing facial hair. It takes me 3 passes to get an almost really smooth finish, so I'm more inclined to think I'm still learning the right angle and technique with a safety razor than with the blades themselves. I read a ton of reviews beforehand and these blades have always been a favorite for their sharpness, durability and value.

I've tried many other brands and types. The closest I've come to near-perfect blades is finding the expensive Vikings Blade Mild safety blades. They've recently gone up in price to $20 for a 50 pack. I have tried many brands of blades. I just bought a Viking adjustable razor. Which impressed me a lot, but I wanted a very smooth yet sharp blade. I received these blades last week. And I can't even express how happy I am with them. One pass on razor settings 5 and 1/2. And then a second pass with 9 razor settings. Absolute perfection. Smooth as a baby's bottom. I really like these blades. I shaved four times with a blade. And so far it's still perfect.

The thing is, all the TV commercials I've seen, especially in the 1970's, might as well be from McMan and Tate's Bewitched agency! It's like every guy is more or less programmed to get those blades, even if it's fifty years later! It's not just advertising jargon. Obviously, there's a clear quality basis for advertising that makes it the benchmark by which you measure other razor blades. I've also used Merker and VD Hagen blades for the past few months, all of which have comparable durability…

These blades are amazing I have not tried any other blade that gives me such sharpness and every blade is first class. I love top notch dorcos but they are rubbish compared to these, the quality has gone downhill after a while but with these they just amaze me! I love them very much and will stay with them! I'm a hairdresser so I use them all day so I know the quality!
