Fun Little Holiday Project

I have minimal sewing experience and think I did a pretty good job using two pairs of socks from Dimensions Needlecrafts Felt. It was fun! The first thing I did took a lot longer than the second. I had to learn a lot of new stitches that I've never done before, which is good. However, the manual that comes with it doesn't provide very detailed instructions on how to perform each stitch, especially if you are a beginner. I had to watch youtube videos to solidify my understanding of some…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Potential quality control issues?

I have ordered and made three of these dimension sets (two sets of jewelry and a stocking) and have never had a problem. I have all the details to make this stocking but the brown thread is clearly not enough. I don't think this is user error as I'm a fairly experienced sewer. I have a lot of threads of other colors, but for some reason there weren't enough brown threads in the set. What I discovered was when the deer were sewn up 2/3 of the way and leaked. Needless to say, this annoys me…

Pros
  • Satisfied
Cons
  • Will write later

It was really easy and fun and the finished product looks exactly like the photo here. I've never done anything like this and I'm not particularly smart. It took me about a week of 1 hour morning sessions before my son woke up, so maybe only 5-7 hours? Actually probably less. Two notes: 1) I don't really see the need to spin this thread up. This is a little tricky and will certainly require extra time. I tested two spots first, one turned up and one not, and couldn't tell what they looked like,

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
