This is my second order for a soup warmer and I highly recommend this item. I've found that if you use boiling water in the outer jar and then pour hot soup into the inner liner, the soup stays hot and doesn't burn. Liquid stereo gel in a plastic bottle is the best form of heating compared to stereo glasses.

Very happy with this purchase. The size was perfect. Serves soup with matzo balls for 12 people with leftover soup. I originally thought about a soup tureen, but this soup warmer allowed me to set the table early and keep the soup very hot all evening. Cleaning was easy. Much better than electric heating pads which require a nearby outlet. This item is worth the investment and I'm sure it will be with me for many years to come. Next I'll try the stew.
