I don't like buying kitchen sets, but we eat bagels quite often and cut our fingers enough for them to be worth counter space. High quality, strong, suitable for standard size bagels. Just go slow enough not to crush.

The blade in this one is less sharp than a butter knife and has no shape at all. It doesn't cut, it pushes. I have to admit it's well built - and will come in handy for wrapped bagels that aren't cut all the way through, but useless for a fresh store-bought bagel.

Not suitable for craft (soft/large) bagels. fit. They were horribly broken when "cutting". I'm disappointed. Went back to Revane and got back to hand slicing my bagels.

I bought this because a lot of reviewers said it would go with large bagels. DON'T BELIEVE THEM! I get bagels from Panera. They're not particularly big. WITH RARE EXCEPTION, THEY DO NOT FIT. This slicer works great with smaller bagels, but if you usually have what looks like regular sized bagels, forget it!

This is the first bagel cutter I have purchased. My daughter said she would like one so I searched and read the comments and decided to buy this for her. She just opened it half an hour ago and immediately sliced the bagel. He didn't crush the donut (squeeze it slowly) but cut it all the way through. PERFECT CUT. Bought on a Sunday and delivered 2 days later on Tuesday. I recommend a product that loves its bagels.

This product is amazing. when you have fat bagels. Even if you center and balance a thin donut in this device, it will still cut unevenly. Thicker bagels are more likely to be cut perfectly down the center. Thinner bagels are cut diagonally for some reason, so they're uneven on both sides. The diameter/height of the donut doesn't matter, just the overall fluffiness/thickness will affect how it cuts. This device is easy to use and easy to clean at a good price.
