I didn't quite understand how big and strong this thing is. I could use it as a countertop. But it's great and use it for cutting meat or something big. You will not be disappointed.

THIS IS HEAVY, APPROX. 17 LBS, THICK SO IT'S NOT DEFORMED, LOOKS GREAT, SHOULD LAST A LIFETIME. THEY RECOMMEND MINERAL OIL TO PREVENT WOOD FROM DRYING AND CRACKING, BUT COOKING OIL WORKS GREAT.

Large chopping and/or butchering board. It's big and thick, which gives it weight and won't budge if you're seriously carving meat. The price corresponds to the size of the board. Like all wooden cutting boards, they should be treated with cooking oil to prevent water, blood and other liquids from being absorbed. If you wash and treat them, they will last a lifetime!

This is a great looking cutting board. However they sent me back the returned one, it was in a box with plastic that no longer had plastic on it just stuffed in the box and it had a few dents on the sides because the protective packaging should have been that inside, got kicked out. . This board is such a beast I will keep it as it has not been used yet. Disappointed with the lack of quality control.

I also have a smaller board that I bought elsewhere. I found I really needed a bigger board for a bigger workspace. I use this board for kneading dough and I find it suits my work space better. The smaller model is fine too, but it kinda moves when I try to knead the dough on it. It arrived in good condition and looks very nice. I would recommend this board to anyone who needs a "smooth" board surface for kneading dough.

Board received earlier than other orders except from Revain LLC but too bad four corners have minor damage. I could have given 5 stars but 4 instead. Not sure I can find a replacement. Hoping for a message from the seller. Photos were taken out of the box and show damage to this brand new board. The board is large, heavy, beautiful and serves its purpose. Unfortunately, this one cannot. Imagine putting a plank on a patio, climbing a seven-foot ladder, and then dropping a bag of carpenters' hammers on it. Here's what I have. Thick cardboard, almost no packaging. Well it's a joke. I'm tired, cold and suffering from the number 1 side effects, so I take this board and put it in the garage. I can use it as a base for drilling small items. Anyway, I wouldn't buy it if I were you.

When I was looking for a cutting board my main interest was something that would not warp. I found that Warp was discussed in the reviews in almost all cases, with the exception of this cutting board. Several reviews of this board have noted that it is not durable and that pieces of wood pop out after use. I didn't think so. I suppose if you chop meat with a cleaver this could happen, but it would probably happen with any cutting board, regardless of the type of wood. I love this cutting board.

I just received the goods in two days. The construction is good, heavy and strong, the surface is smooth and easy to clean. Time will tell if the durability is good. However, three corners of the board were damaged upon arrival due to improper packaging. The outer shipping box was completely broken which was Revain's fault due to loose packaging.
