Wines are sorted first by producer and then by varietal. We used this as a training tool for our tasting staff and it made it easy to point out varietals from the same winery. Sometimes the filters aren't intuitive and can be a little confusing. You need an explanation and a working knowledge of the wine business in order to make it work for you.
