A real improvement! for audio and video accessories

LNA-100 works! I didn't experience a miracle and fell off the couch with 50 new channels, but there was a significant increase in signal. Very weak channels that were about to become useless became mostly reliable. Occasionally interrupted channels are no longer interrupted. And channels that used to be stable are now full-size. Previously, a signal loss on my TV caused a few seconds delay before playback resumed. Now if I lose a signal with the amp, it only takes about 1 second for the signal…

Great product for channels with poor reception!

This booster is GREAT and at a great price! I have a roof antenna that powers three TVs in the house. The coax cable on the roof goes into the garage, and then we used a splitter to split the signal into three TV rooms. After two years of use, our local ABC and CBS feeds started to pixelate. I only added this to one of the TVs in the living room and all TVs had flawless reception. About a week after the installation in March 2018, ABC and CBS started pixeling again. I was very upset that this…

You just have to try it to see if it works for you.

Didn't help me. I bought this hoping to improve reception on 4 channels going out, coming back, going out, coming back etc. I have the 2nd antenna pointing the NE and running it through the combo. Both antennas use the same full copper core coaxial cable, both cables are the same length. Both are on the roof, the northeast antenna is 30 feet off the ground, the southeast antenna is 26 feet off the ground. They are separated by about 8 feet. I've tried with and without power (just to see). I…

Enough gain to get edge stations

TL:DR -- With a weak antenna, the most drastic improvement was to connect the LNA-100 between the antenna and the 50-foot coax cable to the living room wall panel place. When the LNA-100 was placed between the wall plate and the TV, there was only a slight improvement over baseline. YMMVLong Version: My setup is a very small portable antenna hidden in the attic, 50ft of cable run, TV. This is the guy that looks like a metal hot dog on a round magnetic base. Before installing an amplifier…

TV mount - must be close to the antenna

The wiring on the amplifier box is the female end going to the antenna side and the male end going to the TV side. So the designers expected this amplifier to be built into the TV. That rarely solves the problem. The amplifier must always be mounted on the antenna, even if it is built into the antenna. Due to the long coaxial cables, antenna amplifiers are usually required. I have 100 feet. This amp is for indoor use only but I figured I could use it since my antenna is in the attic. Maybe, but

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

I don't have sophisticated test equipment. However, I have been studying and experimenting with radio signals for almost 50 years. In the 1980's I had a communications company that installed both VHF/UHF terrestrial antennas and satellite dishes. I currently have 3 large VHF/UHF antennas pointing in 3 different directions with 8 splitters installed in my attic. Access to 8 rooms. Each antenna has an Alphaline Super Low Noise Amplifier SEA-100 installed BEFORE passing through the first splitter.

  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • No machine

Stronger signal, works well (including objective measurements)

The amplifier cannot receive more channels than your location and the antenna cannot deliver. Personally, I don't like purely subjective reviews that state that there is no "reception improvement" and then conclude that the amplifier is defective. With that in mind, my review added objective before/after strength/quality measurements using HDHomeRun software. I am using a Channel Master CM-4228HD VHF/UHF antenna and a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Connect tuner. The stations are 30-60 miles away from…

Greatly improved TV reception

I live in downtown Florida about 60 miles east of Sarasota. I have a broadband antenna mounted on a 20 foot rotor mast. My house is surrounded by trees over 20 feet tall. In the days of good old analog TV, I was able to receive stable TV signals even from Jacksonville and Miami. But with the advent of digital television, the number of channels in the Tampa-Sarasota area was reduced to 6. And the reception of these channels was often choppy, with dead pixels, out of sync sound, etc. And…
