Not as strong as the original

I'm seeing reports that it's weak. I have to agree Compared to my original which was a few years old, it's thin and doesn't feel weaker. Rather than just trying to rotate the antenna with the little round knob, it would probably be better to take the long part and rotate it with it, although you may have to remove and switch hands a few times. This will prevent the end from breaking.

  • Price
Cons
  • So far so good

EXACT REPLACEMENT - EASY INSTALLATION

This was the perfect replacement for my 5 year old antenna handle which recently broke. When my broken knob was removed and the shaft hole for the antenna assembly was exposed, I found that injecting some WD-40 into the hole greatly reduced the friction when turning. I'm optimistic that an easier twist will reduce the likelihood of breaking another hold soon.

Pros
  • CONVENIENT ITEM
Cons
  • CLARITY

I Tip for Installing Parts

FYI I just bought a Keystone Outback Camper and found the handle was cracked so I bought a new one and it fits perfectly but the antenna keeps popping up not yet. , so I found that the black plastic gear in the antenna mount on the RV's roof was broken, so just in case you buy this handle and it still doesn't raise the antenna, I found that. The crank itself fits great, but be careful not to force it to crank as its plastic will crack.

Pros
  • Fit Type: Universal Fit
Cons
  • Some minor things

Just like the original equipment!

You are great. Find the quality, everything looks great, the hardware is still tiny, it's original and works perfectly. Keep a hex key and your cupboard handy, as a small group of sets can become loose. Do yourself a favor and go to the roof after watching the antenna oiling video. This thing is plastic and will break if you try to raise and lower the stuck antenna. Do some maintenance and don't worry about this thing breaking unless you've done the usual lubrication.

Pros
  • Winegard White Crank Equipment
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

A much needed replacement for my RV.

Looks like a refurbished (upgraded) casting versus the cracked one I replaced. A few minor differences and the unit seems much more stable overall, although it's possible my old unit was just badly worn despite being only from 2008. Most notably, the Allen key set screw is more visible (a bit longer?) and easier to connect with the appropriate Allen key [2.5mm]. The rotation of the handle is very smooth with no obvious play - maybe my old hand crank was just worn out here. if you can.

Pros
  • Winegard part number: RP-6795
Cons
  • Available in white only
