Travels with shower tray but needs space

I used this on my personal shower tray and it was a dream come true. This is way better than using primer and PVC glue. I'm not a plumber and I always get nervous when something is relatively permanent. It works well and even though my shower pan was grouted in, you could see it flexing a bit. But because of the padding, it moves easily with the pan on the drain. The only problem with using it would be on a flat concrete floor as it seems a little higher than my pallet so there is some room…

Excellent Tech Support

Works like a charm. Saved me hundreds and a torn blanket. The hardest part was removing the old drain. I think the secret of my successful installation was the expert technical support hotline. I think I would have failed without her. You can see that a Wingtite drain depends on an o-ring for a good seal and a clean, smooth pipe to maintain that seal. There was a lot of old dried glue on my existing drain pipe. I had to use an internal pipe cutter to remove the old pipe and then replace it with

Saved my 1 year old shower.

I have an acrylic shower tray with a very nice tile surround that started to fail after the first month. I kept finding shards of plastic in the sewers. My contractor had to bring my drain to the PVC to make the connection. Over time I had a wet carpet in the next room. My shower pan sits on a slab of 2 inch steel tubing, also known as black iron. This product is not specified for use with steel pipe. Out of hopelessness. After finding no other product that could come in and fix my drain I…

Also works with copper pipe (with separate adapter).

This product works great! My basement shower no longer dripped from under the shower tray, but dripped at all. My drain pipe is 2" copper which has a narrower outer circumference than PVC. So I had to order a separate adapter from WingTite. The support guy, who really is as nice and helpful as everyone says, explained that the adapter is a precision machined one Part is and will fit exactly. It turned out to be so tight I didn't even have to use the glue that came with the adapter. I'm not a…

An absolute lifesaver in the bathroom Sink and bathtub accessories

The drain pipe in my shower cubicle has somehow come loose from the existing shower drain. I tried and tried to put the two pieces back together and ended up failing. The "reserve" bath is located above the cramped underground in a difficult to access place (due to plumbing and air ducts). On top of that, I had to do this renovation in the dead of winter, so I had to be wrapped in cold-weather gear, which would make it even more difficult. While a Wingtite drain costs more than a standard PVC…
