Review on 🚿 Top-Installed WingTite Pro-Series Shower Drain - Ideal for New Construction, Builders Model in Oil Rubbed Bronze by Stephen Tharpe

I have an acrylic shower tray with a very nice tile surround that started to fail after the first month. I kept finding shards of plastic in the sewers. My contractor had to bring my drain to the PVC to make the connection. Over time I had a wet carpet in the next room. My shower pan sits on a slab of 2 inch steel tubing, also known as black iron. This product is not specified for use with steel pipe. Out of hopelessness. After finding no other product that could come in and fix my drain I called the good folks at Wingtite and they said it works with steel pipe if the pipe is smooth and the shower pan isn't sagging or if it's sagging by a bit not to be used -Expanding foam under the palette to reinforce it. So I used a dremel with several sanding attachments to smooth the pipe. Then I installed Wingtite. So far it hasn't leaked for a month. I hope this long review helps someone else in the same boat I was in.
