First time my 12 year old solved it in 7 hours, now he does it in minutes.

My 12 year old is addicted to this cube. He figured it out and can figure it out in minutes no matter how much I mess it up and now he needs a speed cube. I'd recommend skipping this and just getting the Speed Cube. To update. This one broke easily. The instructions are in Chinese, but most kids can understand it on YouTube. This one had stickers that could be peeled off. Good ones don't have stickers, color stencils are printed on each side. This is a cheap toy imitation. Only lasted a few…

Rubik's Cube - good for the brain!

As a kid in the 80's I remember well when the Rubik's Cube was introduced. Yes, you can remove the stickers or disassemble the cube to impress your friends. However, if you do it right, you'll harness the power of the brain! Unfortunately I was only able to edit one page. One evening as my child was walking through the local toy store, my child pointed to a dice. He took me back a few years and I said "WOW!". Thanks to technology, there are all kinds of "tutorials" and videos that we didn't…

Modern classic toy

When Hungarian Erno Rubik invented his famous cube, he had no idea how fantastic it would be. It was very popular when it first came out and has now become a classic toy in a generation. You can see one side. Figuring out the two sides is a difficult task. When you figure out all the sides, the braggart rights begin. Of course, if you stick to it and are smart enough, you will understand. Then the question arises: how quickly can you fix this problem? That is, every six sides, each with a spot…

It takes TLC to make it a good cube

I gave this cube 2 stars just because it's a Rubik's Cube and I think the original cube deserves a little respect. I gave it an extra star because AFTER I worked with it a bit it turned out to be a pretty decent cube. Out of the box, it was like trying to spin a concrete cube. So disassembled, factory dust wiped off, inner ball and individual parts lightly lubricated with vegetable oil and reassembled. After that it got a lot better. It's fast enough now. It cuts corners semi-normally, but…

Better dice.

I wanted the original Cube I grew up with in the 80's to feel solid. Modern cubes are great for speedcubing and feel great, but I wanted the feel and look I grew up with. I thought it would be better if my daughter continued studying. Well, it's neither. This cube is nothing like the original. It doesn't have the weight and strength of Rubik's Cubes that Rubik's Cubes had when I was a kid. He looks super fragile. And it's very noisy when faces are turned. And since it's so light, you might…

Rubik's Cube was almost always at my school in the 80s. I played with it when I was stuck in places I didn't have anything to do like in the doctor's office waiting room, between classes, etc. I was then able to solve the cube, but it took a while. Time. I was very happy to know that I can solve this today. I need about a day. Last year I gave a man I was dating a birthday present. Before even trying to solve it himself, he googled how to solve it. He found many websites and YouTube videos that
