This thing is hard wood which surprised me a lot. Chipboard not found. This is the VERY small one I was looking for. However, when you sit on a stool, your feet don't touch the floor and you have to put your heels on the bar for balance or sit further forward to put your feet on the floor. I was delighted to order this product which was perfect for the needs of my small apartment. Unfortunately, I noticed a small broken piece in the packaging when it was delivered. I hoped it would be the worst and continued hoping the product would still be worth it. The table has become unusable. I rarely admire the products I buy. But I can't stop raving about this purchase in my head. So I can tell you! Assembly: Two people are required. I did everything myself. I'm 5'4" and 125 pounds and it took about 25 minutes, lots of excitement and determination.
