An ink I wanted to try for calligraphy

I bought this ink to start writing calligraphy and it doesn't cure quickly with the pen but I'll try to get used to it. The ink visible on the paper after writing looks beautiful.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Wonderful! - Painting Tools

Love it! I was just starting out with calligraphy so I didn't know what to buy. It's relatively thick but not too heavy (which definitely bothered me as a beginner). Very clear and easy to read and almost odorless. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Industry Best
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good for ink washing

I haven't used it for calligraphy so can't say much about how this ink works in pens and such, but it's great for brush washing. The ink appears to be quite dark and is certainly not water thinned, translucent or anything like that. Has excellent pigmentation

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Negative present

The ink is too thick. suitable for painting

This ink was too thick for my pens it clogged all three which was quite sad as I was looking forward to writing with this ink. Anyway, I diluted them with water and voila, my pens are writing again. Wonderful. And the intense black color has not disappeared.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Reliability

I use a glass marker pen with this

, I love the ink, it's very pigmented and I can dilute it with water if I need a lighter shade. However, since I'm using a glass marker, all of the ink on the pen is exposed to the air, so the ink dries on the pen very quickly. I can wash it off with water but I'll just have to keep soaking if I don't want it drying out. Keep this in mind if you are a glass pen lover.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Dear

Ink not impressed

This ink advertises itself as a fountain pen refill and still doesn't work smoothly. I tested this by going back to my old ink, thinking there might have been an issue with my pen, but the old ink laid down perfectly and I didn't have to clean the pen. I tried this mascara again and the same problem came up again. It just doesn't run smoothly, you have to flush ink through it to make it work at all. I can try adding some water but I'm afraid to do so so as not to ruin the pen. Very…

Pros
  • Drawing
Cons
  • I'll write later

Misleading art supplies

Although the bottle is labeled as fountain pen and dip pen ink, it is not. Handles don't work well. One participant said that the ink contained pigment particles rather than a soluble dye like fountain pen ink should be, and that appears to be the case with my use. Do not use this ink with fountain pens. From the fountain pen side, this is a rather dull ink. I guess whoever came up with the thought that if only the ink was more fluid it would be ok to call it fountain pen ink as I find it a lot

Pros
  • Ink
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
