My analysis of this product showed that it is a great value for the price, especially since it comes with 50 wire hoods. The secure seal keeps your bottles airtight, which allows your wine to age properly. The only con I could find is that it would be nice to have different color options. They were fined for installation, but two bottles I opened after use had the wire mesh torn off. I had to use pliers to unscrew and loosen the cage.

I sweetened and bottled the wine without first adding potassium sorbate. A few weeks later I heard a pop and when I checked the wine I noticed that several bottles were missing corks and more than half of the wine (they were on their side). The wine continued to ferment and created back pressure due to carbonation. So these wire caps combined with plastic stoppers helped me preserve the rest of the wine.
