Good remote overall, but lacking in a few areas

I've used it on a PC, an NVIDIA Shield, and a couple of homemade Raspberry Pi multimedia devices. The remote works well with all of them. It works a bit differently on the shield, but that's because the shield has its own remotes and controllers that make it work well. My main application for this is a Windows and/or Linux PC. For the most part, it works well as a keyboard and mouse replacement, but it lacks in a few areas. It turns off constantly (even if the power button stays on). I assume…

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

Great Cheap PC Remote Control

Buy this as a cheaper alternative to replace your broken Nvidia Shield that broke last week. I bought a replacement Shield remote but decided to try one of these as it's half the price. The remote control was nicely packaged in a relatively sturdy box. Installation was easy, plug the USB receiver into the back of the Nvidia Shield, wait a few seconds for the device to be recognized and move the pointer over the screen. The WeChip remote gave me all the functionality of my previous Nvidia remote
