I LOVE this product for my two dogs. Unfortunately, however, one of the transmitters was constantly defective, causing my dog to suffer an unnecessary electric shock. The other worked perfectly. Easy to fix right? I wrote AND called to exchange a collar but was told I would have to return the entire system. (Hence the three stars.) I bought this device for my two dogs. I have 3 acres on the outskirts of town and I don't want to enclose it. I have a 9 year old Golden Retriever and a 1 year old Golden Doodle. I couldn't get them to cooperate to show them the flags and flare in training mode. I also couldn't find anyone to help them train, so it was delayed for a while. I was hesitant to install it because the instructions sounded complicated. Although in reality it is not so. The solo lasted 90 minutes.1. You have to position it in your house in relation to the area of the yard you want to cover. It is not waterproof so outdoor placement may be questionable.2. I've been using this system since mid September and it works great for my two boxers, siblings under 2 years old. I think it worked so well because I sat outside with them for over a year using electronic collars with sound, vibration and shock.
