Review on ๐Ÿถ PetSafe 2 Dog Wireless Pet Containment System - Covers 1/2 Acre by Nicole Reed

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Two young boxers and it works for us!

I've been using this system since mid September and it works great for my two boxers, siblings under 2 years old. I think it worked so well because I sat outside with them for over a year using electronic collars with sound, vibration and shock. I used a tone to call them, a vibration to tell them to stop what they were doing, and an electric shock only when they were outside their limits. When I first started using this system, I was afraid that if they were near a metal carport, metal fence, or any other object that could cause electrocution, they would get electrocuted. So first I used the training setting to see what the result would look like. To my surprise, I didn't have to induce shock. These puppies have not yet left the border and only receive an audible warning. We had neighbors dogs frequenting our space and they never chased them! Also other critters, although very interesting for my dogs, do not force them to cross the border. I am so happy with these results. I didn't give it 5 stars because the plastic clasp on the nylon collars came loose and I had to search 3-4 times for a receiver collar and didn't want to buy another one! It happened in the dark and in the rain; This search was no fun! Admittedly, my dogs play rough and the plastic latches don't hold up. PetSafe sent replacement zip collars which fixed the problem, but not before the original collar came loose and the puppies chewed it to the point that it was unusable. I hope we're in good shape now. Finally, one more reason why I didn't give five stars. I found the system to be cheaper than Revain and wish I had shopped elsewhere before purchasing.
