Advantages: Easy to use, for those with no plumbing experience. I was able to replace the tub's water stop in minutes and put putty directly underneath with minimal effort. I'm holding the putty firmly in the crevices and want to remove the excess putty and you can do it. Cons: No product. If you're like me you might not need that much to service your 2 toilets but consider keeping this indoors.

Basic plumbing putty for sealing pipe and drain connections. It seems hard at first, but as you knead it between your fingers, it quickly softens. I don't think it will ever fully cure, but it shouldn't. It is only required to fill any gaps to prevent water from seeping through. Some people asked about color. I'm not sure why, because you won't see it in situations where it's commonly used, but I've included an image.

Putty worked great and thanks to a YouTube DIY video I was able to replace my mom's shower drain in 15 minutes. My only complaint about replacing a drain, I used 5% of the product. The rest will all go bad before I have to use it again.
