I purchased this hoping that they would be a comparable substitution for the Keen brand, and I wasn't surprise at how well they fit. Extremely comfortable and supportive.

For the price, the shoe is surprisely sturdy. The "body" of the shoe fits a little loose but the elastic cord tightens them enough to be comfortable. The imprint on the inside of the sole, next to the foot, is a little distracting until they've been on for a little while and you don't feel it anymore. Worth the purchase!

I got these for a trip to the beach where i knew we'd be doing outdoor adventures. The fact that they were closed toe was important to me. Agree they do run large, I followed the advice of others and picked a size 8 which is on the lower end of the shoe size I wear. And they were still a bit roomy. Decent option for Keens day wear. I would not elect to wear these when I travel on extended trips abroad. However, they are great for walking around the local area.

I bought these after reading tons of reviews. I actually bought the Keens first, but they were a little big, but comfortable. After returning the Keens I saw these were a bit more reasonable in price and came in half sizes. They did fit nice. However, there is a weird texture on the inside of these that is uncomfortable. I like these shoes a lot. I used them all year and they have held up. I went hiking with them many times; in the winter with socks, in the summer without. They worked well on easy to intermediate trails. So much cooler than boots.

I love these! They're better than Keens! I had pair of Keens that fit fine when I managed to get them on, but getting them on was very difficult. The tongue of the shoe was attached to the sides and the opening for you to insert your foot was just too small! I just had to struggle to get them on. With these Gritions, there's no such design flaw. The tongue isn't attached to the sides, and it opens up wide enough to insert your foot easily. Then you just tug the laces to snug it up on your foot.

I found the sole of shoe to be a little too textured for wearing barefoot. I would wear them hiking with socks. They rubbed my toes too much and gave me a blister. But for playing in and around water they are great.

I got it on! I wasn’t expecting to be able to with my wide feet but it did fit. However, Keens they are not. I probably could have worn them, but it doesn’t have a substantial foot bed and it’s obvious that the comfort factor isn’t there. At this point, comfort is everything.

I really wanted to like these. They fit well and are cute. but the insole felt like walking on the top of Legos. Spend the extra 40 bucks and get the Keens. You'll be happy you did!

Shoes run a big big but are easy to snug up. The soles are not smooth like Keens so they made my heels sore if I walk around too much. Great for water. If you have softer feet.not so great for hiking in.

This shoe looked good. I bought it because another reviewer said it had arch support but it is very minimal. I wouldn’t call it arch support. The pattern on the inside of the shoe hurt my feet. And my feet got hot in the shoes. Counter productive.
