Quickly fell apart in the sewing tool

The awl broke off the wooden handle when I used it. I had him for two days. I basically have a pretty big needle and a regular wooden handle. Useless.

Fading after a few uses.

These awls became dull after a few uses and started tearing the fabric I was using them with. Go for something made of a more durable material instead.

Book binding, although I expect to switch to a better awl at some point.

"You need an awl. "

Nothing fancy but they do their job. If it is not clear from the description that these are two identical awls. I like to have a second one on my desk so I don't have to go to the store to do a 30 second job. Don't expect high quality and fancy knobs, but they will suffice unless you are a fan of instruments.

Not a bad set for the price but you can use any cap/tip

in the case - since they are of course very sharp (that's one of the ideas). They arrived with the tips in a small block of styrofoam-like material, which works well, but it would be great if there was some sort of cap (nothing fancy - not even just a tiny plastic tip or anything) as a block, very inconvenient to store. They are quite small - ideal (in my opinion) for beading and other crafts. I bought 2 other awls at the same time as this set and they are both about twice the size of this one.
