I have tried soft, durable palm rests as well as hard upholstery alternatives. Both offer some support, but over the long run, this wooden version of the palm rest is the best overall. Yes, it's quite an investment. Yes, you could make your own (if you had the right tools and woodworking skills). I personally love wooden products. I really wanted to fall in love with it, but it was about half an inch longer than the Keychron K4.
