🔨 100 Pack of 1/4" x 2" Kiln Dried Wooden Dowel Pins - Fluted, Beveled, and Crafted from Hardwood Review

The machine heads are really high quality, well made and look like the #1 product. Unfortunately they are too thick for a 1/4". "Pin and pin will not fit in the pin hole due to the material used. I have two different pegboards, one is a metal wall mounted control panel (used in the workshop) and the other is a large Lowes pressed plate for my garage. It's a shame because I like her very much.

I purchased this item because many other previous reviewers have stated that these dowels are the same as those used in the Ikea Kallax line of shelves. You are not. They are 3/8" shorter and have a larger girth. The difference in girth isn't noticeable until you try to insert them and they stick. You can hammer them in, but you'll need pliers and possibly a drill to get them to remove.

I have tried other dowel products and have never had any luck with the dimensional properties or the wood quality. I found that they were the same size and quality and I didn't have to sort by size. I used a .25" drill bit and set up a slip fit that didn't take much effort to install. I could test the assembly and take it apart for final gluing. Many Thanks
