Excellent surge protection with optional USB charging

Excellent functionality for locations where you need extra outlets and USB charging capability. Woods products are generally good quality and reasonably priced, and this surge protector is no exception. .The reason for the four stars instead of five is the lack of an option to screw into the front panel of the socket and a very small problem with the socket's anti-rotation feature, which is not easy to see in black on the black plastic cover.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Low

Damn, the indicator light is so bright! It was so strong I now just put 5 layers of thin masking tape on top of it to reduce it to something that doesn't blind me but is still visible. I can't comment on how this device handles surges and I hope I never find myself needing to, but let's look at other aspects of this surge protector. The fact that this surge protector is actually an extension of a typical two-outlet outlet with a couple of USB ports is nice overall. The two USB ports free you…

Good design for surge protection

Robust construction. Well designed and hassle free. I find the rotating childproof socket covers to be a standout feature.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Minor problems

Is it a 10 million candle LED?

Bought to put by my bed to charge my phone but it has an LED. DANGER. so bright! And I can't stand rotating exhaust caps. I hate (emphatically) these things. If I ever need to go online in the dark, I stare at a mega bright LED that dilates my pupils and makes it even more difficult to see in the dark. And if at this point the connector covers are rotated, then I fiddle with them and can't connect anything because I still can't see anything. why is it still so dark. and then the woman wakes up…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Disappointed - Surge Protector

I thought this would get rid of the clutter on the kitchen table. That does not work. The blue part that supposedly rotates to allow access to the outlet only rotates in one direction. Of course SO does not work with our sockets if you have two plugs in the socket. One socket is always occupied by the radio, so only one is available for plugs. The fact that it doesn't spin both ways is a design flaw. I would not recommend it at all. It's just frustrating.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Cords shorter than other options

This is good for those times when you have the .

This is a 1Amp USB charger. Good if you still need to keep your device plugged in but need a USB port to charge it. This is a lower fuss charger that works with devices compatible with higher fuss chargers such as B. cellular hotspots and external chargers, do not work well. several hours, depending on the battery capacity of the device, including the Apple iPad mini.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Not sure

DO NOT BUY IF YOU DON'T WANT FIRE!

Terrible! The voltage fluctuates on the USB ports, good thing I sat next to the phone, otherwise it would have burned out! One of the sockets turned off and on again when it wanted to. I wouldn't trust this thing to be on until no one is home to watch.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • There's nothing here
