This is the best wood putty knife I've ever used. Thinner than conventional fillers, therefore to be applied with a spatula. I don't rub, I use a large spatula and a small spatula. Excellent dry paint for most light woods such as birch plywood veneer. Works well with oak and hickory.

Red Oak Filler glides beautifully and I ended up buying two liters for a big job. Unfortunately, it does not tolerate stains like real red oak. It looks very spotty and the light reflection is very different. I ended up spending three times as much time scrubbing everything down.
