    I have returned mine and bought others

    The photos are oddly fluffy or blurry on very matte sides which is the opposite of what I want in the instructions: sharp images with fine detail. It also turns out that there are better books on felting out there that describe different methods and approaches than the seemingly more limited single method in this book (e.g. wire cleaners or frame tube cleaners aren't even mentioned). Smooth creatures like penguins (on the cover) and frogs (inside) can run into trouble with the dry method: felt…

    Great resource for beginners!

    Beautiful hardcover book. Great for beginners especially (like me!) Explains the different types of needle felting and wool/fiber tools. This book covers just what it says - pets and little critters with a mermaid or two thrown in as an encore. There is no wallet pattern here :)! Many projects with highly detailed color images for every step of each project. Starts with simpler projects and progresses to small dolls at the end of the book.     Pretty good primer

    I've just started my first little needle felting project, chicken, and I needed help figuring out how to make the eyes and how to add the legs. I thought this book would help me to get through the completed project. That helped, but I went through the details I was looking for. This book has a good basic guide to materials: needles, foam rubber, types of wool fibers that are best for needle felting. And an introduction to basic techniques such as rolls, flat shapes, cones, tubes. etc. There are
